The pine-covered, normally quiet region of Carrabassett Valley, which includes Sugarloaf Mountain, in Northern Maine has become a hip foodie hot spot, particularly over the past few years. The region features mostly casual dining options (wear your best snow boots or flip flops!), and many restaurants feature farm-to-table fresh ingredients. Whether you crave Italian pesto bread in a cozy hut, raclettes on the mountain, or the best burritos made with groats, there is food for every foodie here. There are few things I enjoy more in life than watching the sunset on Nantucket. We have become true sunset chasers, and so I wanted to share our five favorite spots to enjoy the sunset on Nantucket with you! 

I want to invite you to one of my (three) “happy places”! MAINE! Specifically, Carrabassett Valley, Maine, close to the Canadian border in Western Maine, and where I have been going since I was a 2-year-old skiing down the Sugarloaf mountain slopes.

Come experience an ideal day in my hometown! My hope is that going there can spark some peace, relaxation, and sense of adventure on your coveted day off. Try to go on a Saturday, since the town gets much sleepier on Sundays.
